The original Pointer Series features a lively, powerful action with a distinctive side-to-side slide. The POINTER78 SP suspends at depths of 4 – 5 feet, emitting an intriguing fish-calling vibration while in this state. The Pointer78’s low center of balance causes the lure to wobble and vibrate whenever the retrieve is paused. This rolling action stimulates the fish’s lateral line, triggering an instinctive biting response and prompting strikes even during non-feeding times. Truly a miracle bait, the POINTER78 SP is effective for striped bass, weakfish, bluefish, and a wide variety of other fish species.
The Pointer78 SP is a suspending bait that is 3 inches long, weighs 3/8 oz and dives to 5 feet deep.
Originally designed and rigged as a freshwater lure, Grumpys recommends you change out the hooks to saltwater trebles. Size #4 Tsunami SaltX trebles, or size #4 VMC Trebles.
